How Donations Will Be Used
The cornerstone of the PHS Wall of Honor will be a robust website that will be accessible by mobile device, home computer, and interactive kiosk located inside the PHS Ambassador Christopher Stevens Memorial Library. The Wall of Honor website will include a repository of all service members from Piedmont including name, branch of service (any of the uniformed armed services or the foreign service), graduation year and special remarks. The repository will be organized by decade with stories, remarks and images as available. Visitors to the website and the interactive kiosk will have access to a content submission form for friends and family members to contribute new entries, stories and images. Donations will be used to hire an affordable, experienced, local professional web development company and to design purchase and install all components of the Wall of Honor inside the PHS library.
*This will include graphics, exhibit design, digital name repository, and enactment. Any unused funds will be given to PHS for the education of students in History, Civics and Government classes. WoH Committee will maintain exhibits, ensuring quality and accuracy of information.
